MCA Youth Selangor Forum

MCA Youth Selangor will be organizing a Youth Forum, entitled “Standing Hand In Hand With Youth Today” on 17 April 2011, from 8.00 am to 5.15 pm at Nouvelle Hotel.

The theme of the Youth Forum is ‘Excellence, Peace and Competence’. The organizer has invited many renowned speakers to share their views and to exchange ideas with youth today on four key subjects, namely ‘Politics’, ‘Economy’, ‘New Media’ and ‘Environment Friendly’.

The speakers and participants will exchange their views on a ‘round table’ format platform to encourage free flow of exchange of information regardless of political stature.

The organizer encourages all participants, speakers and honorable guests who shall include the MCA President, Datuk Sri Dr. Chua Soi Lek to come in jeans when coming to participate in the Youth Forum.

The organizer believes that our Youth will determine the future of the country and therefore it is of paramount importance for political leaders to listen to the views of our Youth. The average age of the speakers at the Youth Forum is in the 20s and one of the speakers is a university student.

At the conclusion of the Forum, the organizer will present the points raised and discussed at the Forum to Barisan Nasional Youth Chief, YB Khairy Jamaluddin for further action.

In addition to the MCA President, Datuk Sri Dr. Chua Soi Lek and Barisan Nasional Youth Chief, YB Khairy Jamaluddin, other invited guests include MCA Selangor Liaison Chairman, Dato Donald Lim.

Attendance at the Forum is opened to everyone regardless of age and political background. The participation fee is RM30 per person or RM100 for a group registration comprising of four persons.

The closing date for registration is on 14 of April 2011 and the public may down load the registration form from http://youthforum2011.blogspot.com. Photocopied registration forms are acceptable.

The organizer believes that in the coming 30 years, Youth will pursue their life along the path of ‘Excellence, Peace and Competence’. This is the conclusion derived by the MCA Youth Selangor Committee from its discussions in the past two years with Youth from various races and university students from local and foreign universities including from Hu Nan and Shi Zhiang. MCA Youth Selangor has the responsibility to enlighten Youth about this trend of moving towards achieving a better quality of life. In addition, by having a full understanding of the meaning of ‘Excellence, Peace and Competence’, the country will have a clear direction for the future.

MCA Youth Selangor believes that both rural and urban Youth of the future will not merely pursue material well being but will also place emphasis on excellent living conditions and a peaceful and prosperous society. MCA Youth Selangor also notices the emergence of the importance of being environmentally friendly. The competency of the people, society and the country as a whole will determine if we can achieve excellent living conditions and successfully achieve a developed nation status.

MCA Youth Selangor is of the view that the ideology of politicians will determine the shape of our country’s future development. Therefore, since 2008, it has embarked on a path to reform and highlight the importance of political ideology and has initiated the concept of ‘be the fore runner; led by ideology’.
